Sunrise SESA Technologies is a leading manufacturer of LED systems for the Transit, Traffic, and Commerical industry. Our design, development, and production are carried out at our head office in Pembroke, MA.

 

We are proud to have a friendly open environment in our Sales and Marketing Team and are looking for a talented professional to join us at an exciting time of growth and technological & organizational change.

 

 

What are your responsibilities?

  • You will develop and successfully execute a plan for selling products and services at an acceptable order volume and profit margin in your designated territory.
  • You will sell into the Department of Transportation, Transit Authority, City Muncipality and Contracrters.
  • You will be responsible for promoting Sunrise SESA Technologies Inc products/services, during in-person meetings, video conferencing, and product demonstrations.
  • You will assist in having Sunrise SESA Technologies Inc products qualified or specified in proposal requests, purchasing cooperatives, or consultant recommendations. You will leverage orders through purchasing co-ops, as applicable.
  • You will grow the active sales opportunities through referrals, lead generation and qualification, product replacement opportunities, proactive prospecting, Bid Networks and sustainable relationships. You will promptly follow up on marketing campaigns or trade show leads. These activities will be documented in a timely manner using Hubspot CRM.
  • You will be the Daktronics expert consultant with an in-depth understanding of Daktronics product's capabilities, features, functions, and operations to best meet the customer’s vision. Product knowledge will include ITS systems, Dynamic Message Signs, Variable Message Signs, Passenger Information Displays, Blank Out Signs.
  • You will work effectively as a team member. Work with limited daily supervision.
  • Become knowledgeable and follow Sunrise SESA Tech's policies, processes, and procedures.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business, economics, marketing, technical area, or similar.
  • Prefer business-to-business sales-related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn the technical products quickly.
  • Communication skills including good verbal and written skills, ability to develop and present winning presentations of SST's products and services and negotiate contracts favorable to SST. Fluent in English, written and verbal.
  • Negotiation Skills:
  • Experience selling product values and features. Must demonstrate an ability to successfully negotiate price without being the lowest price supplier.
  • Understand the basics of proposal and sales agreement language to negotiate/finalize agreements in conjunction with SST managment.
  • Motivated and a team player. Initiative to solve problems and seek improvement. Goal-oriented with proven leadership capability.
  • The work schedule may include evenings and weekends for presentations, trade shows, and meetings.
  • Ability to travel by air and ground. Valid driver’s license. Overnight travel is about 20% of the time with an average of 3-4 days per trip.
  • Computer skills to best utilize Hubspot, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and internal electronic systems.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
[fa icon="plus-square"] Assembly Technician

Purpose: 

Build sub-assemblies and finished products per the production schedule. 

Job Duties:

  • Performs a variety of electronic and mechanical subassembly and assembly operations of a repetitive nature to build up units such as LED boards, cable harnesses, and simple electronic/mechanical assemblies.
  • May perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire, stripping, wiring, and fastening connections.
  • May do Reworks
  • Must be able to pull raw cable and strip cable
  • Works from diagrams or established production practices
  • Uses small hand tools such as soldering iron, wire strippers, crimpers, etc.
  • May use potting material and other chemicals for building product
  • May operate drill presses, band saws, etc
  • Must have excellent soldering skills and fine eye/hand coordination.
  • Must be able to work on small color-coded boards
  • Must be able to work from prints, engineering specifications.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Prepare products for shipment and conduct quality control checks to ensure shipments are complete and correct according to the sales order information. 
  • Attend weekly production meetings and communicate the status of job assemblies to the project manager. Must have the ability to effectively deliver constructive feedback in a professional and calculated manner.
  • Assist Materials Coordinator with organizing parts and material in inventory areas and stock room. 
  • Load and unload items from machines, carts, trucks, and dollies. 
  • Participate in the annual physical inventory count.
  • Clean production area; sweep, mop and remove debris.
  • Return tools and material to their holding locations when done using them.

Skills/Qualifications: 

1 to 3 years of experience for:

  • Complex assembly skills
  • Excellent fine soldering skills
  • Experience in electronic construction/repair of PC Cards/wiring
  • Experience in cable assembly
  • Some Electrical theory preferred
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Education: High School/Trade School
  • Good Communication Skills
